Thunderbird's first COE in Sub-Sahara Africa launched in 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya, marking the school's first continuous physical presence in the African continent. Since then, our Nairobi COE has made a significant mark in the region by establishing Thunderbird as a thought leader leading to various important partnerships and initiatives. In addition, our Nairobi COE plays an important role in student recruitment and alumni engagement. Thunderbird's future plans for expansion in the region include a Center of Excellence in Dakar, Senegal.
